  1. I recently upgraded to an fz8
On level ground sometimes she takes off fine no reviving no nothing. Even when I first start it. Then sometimes it clunks out an dies when I try to go. (It will do it even after riding for a bit) Remember I'm on flat ground an even giving it a little bit of gas doesn't help. Just makes the clunking louder. All my torq is in the higher end. So it as no ass when you switch gears an then sling shots ya once ya get going

  2. Cool video brother
    I got a 2013 FZ8 ,with a zed
    Up here in Canada,near Toronto
Love the powerband and handling is tight ,good brakes
    Decent suspension
Moved up after quite a few yrs on my 09 WR 250 X
    Its a keeper i think
    Later partner

  3. Have. 2012 with 13k. It’s been one heck of a great bike and reliable. Only complaint is the suspension is a little soft for aggressive riding. Great and way overlooked bike!

  4. I live in the uk and have an fz8. I have an akraprovic exhaust on her with a power commander. Love the bike they go like s**t.
Only downside for me is the weight heavy bike for what it is

  5. I really miss this bike. I got the FZ8 in 2012. sold it a year later and bought a 2020 MT-09. the MT-09 is stupid insane. i miss my FZ8 but it's hard to find a used one.

  6. Gas mileage..LMAO! Ive got mine set up as an absolute pig. Im getting about 33mpg. arrow header and short MIVV can, air box mod with hi perf dacron filter, Denso iridium plugs and power commander5. At 12.8:1 and breathing properly it will suck some gas but thats power. Runs much better than when I got it. Im doing a seat mod and raising the bars.

  7. Tried watching this video multiple times on multiple days wifi or data this video will not load past the hi five in the intro. I can literally watch any other video but this one will not load… damn you YouTube! It lets me comment but the listing circle never goes away.

  8. Just picked up an FZ8 this past weekend. Already put about 300 miles on her. I have the same complaints, minus the threaded bars, they don't really bother me lol. Next time you come up to Nashville, let me know. There's a lot more to be done than what's just on Broadway and downtown. There's also spectacular roads to ride around Middle TN. Great video.

  9. I have a 2011….love it.
If you look up the bike over in Europe, they have more colors and made them for a few years longer. And they race them. FZ8R is badass.
    Fuel mileage sux, yes.
Mine has a R1 rear shock that's adjustable. Via adapter.
The bars I swapped…..put Renthal ones on and aftermarket bar ends. But ended up modding stock bar ends and put those onto the Renthals. Cause the stock ends are nicely weighted.

  10. I also traded my super bike for a fz8 and will never go back. Just wish the seat was a bit more bearable after a hour on it. Just fouled a spark plug at 32,000 miles. Probably because I live in Wisconsin and I fire it up in the cold. Only problem I ever had on my r1 was a starter at 65,000 miles. Yamaha for life!!!!

  11. I don't see the problem with someone texting when sitting in traffic. nobody is moving so why make a big fuss over it? yea they might take a second longer to get moving but still

  12. I have a fz8 fazer.same bike as yours but with ajustable forks and a ferring with a small screen that works a treat.if you had one, I'm sure you will think that you have the perfect bike..as i do..

  13. Hey Squatch' Good info on the Bike Sir!! Just got a 2o11 FZ8 with only 2300 miles on it. All stock with no issues. I wasn't sure about getting an older bike but like you I'm a fan of the looks and performance. Safe to say, this Bike is solid and has serious power. I've had 2 600cc Bikes over the years, but this is my first 800cc. Stay safe Sir!
