Wayne, what is the serum you used in this video? Is it also Westman Atelier?
You skin looks amazing! I have been exclusively using WA complexion products for approximately 2 years plus and my sister commented on how great my skin looks without makeup. The only thing I changed in those two years was the use of WA complexion products. Totally agree with you about her eyeshadow products and use the complexion products on my lids for my every day eyelid color. The mascara is surprisingly good and doesn't smudge on me. WA products go a long way especially anything in a stick or compact (and yes the compacts are difficult to open, I just make sure I am opening the compact from the front and center with a gentle lift and that seems to work really well).
Your videos are so helpful! Thank you!
I have the black mascara. It makes my lashes look amazing! But yes, towards the end of the day it does flake, and if you have to rub your eyes it will also flake. Having said that I still like it bc the length and definition stays all day.
The red brush you are using, which one is it?
I don't love the foundation. It catches on every single dry skin cell, makes my pores look HUGE and disappears after a while. That's even after I use serum and moisture and a creamy primer. This I regret purchasing. However, I like most of her other products. Haven't tried the new bronzer liquid in the blue containers as they just launched yesterday
Wayne, as much as you aren't a fan of non-black mascaras, that color really brings out your eyes, and doesn't close off the lid as much.
WA is super pricey, but amazing. I just limit their products to what I absolutely need by them – the foundation stick, the pressed powder, and the eyeshadow pods. That’s how I can justify the price, because I’m not buying absolutely everything.
Loved this video, as I'm a huge old-time fan of Westman Atelier (since they launched really). Regarding the magnets, I store them alternating in direction, so they don't keep repelling each other. For the eyeshadow, their latest Eye Pod release (the Toujours) was in all matte and wearable shades. The Nude Lip Palette is actually my favourite as I love sheer products (as well as the eyeshadows), because I am a fan of that aesthetic, and don't do very well with pigmented products (probably due to my makeup application skill level as well). I'm obsessed with their foundation sticks and tinted loaded highlighters (the one you called a "powder highlighter"). Love the lip oils too, I don't find they look the same on me, maybe because my lips are not always very pigmented, so show lip colour easily (something I don't often like).
I’m a massive fan of this brand but the fact that they won’t offer refills is insulting and green washing of fake sustainability.
Love the products, but now I feel totally vindicated after you spoke about how darn hard it is to open these pallets! I even wrote to the company and they wrote me back about how easy it is to do and I felt like something of an idiot, but it’s very very difficult, especially if you have no nails. I do think it gets better with practice, but it takes a long time. By that time you’re ready to throw it against the wall. I’m hoping since you said it, they will listen because they certainly did not take note of my feedback. Thank you for your wonderful reviews. Love your channel.
Thank u Wayne , I love their cream blush sticks too ! What u mentioned about the sticks moving about because of the magnet is so true ! I want to ask how long would u keep these blush sticks on your shelf until u know they expire or not good for use ? Thank u .
About their eye shadow pods , I find them extremely expensive for what it is .
Because of your demo , I gonna try their foundation stick. Thank u ❤❤
A tip for those hard to open compacts… go to a music store and buy a box of thin guitar picks. Scatter them everywhere- on the countertop, your kits, get in the habit of always carrying one in your pocket. They have saved me 100s of times.
Love this demonstration. I use these products and love them. I totally agree about the difficulty in opening the compacts. You did a great job applying them.
This is different to see a manly man who isn’t gay looking doing natural makeup without any shame
Agree that the clasps on the bronzer, powder, highlighters are TOTAL disaster!!!!
This is such a great review—I cannot agree more! I really wish the eye shadow were available for purchase on its own.
Shine for anyone over 40 is a nightmare and accentuates wrinkles. I only buy matt products.
Ok way too much makeup. I can't imagine in reality putting on so much make up!
ouch tha blending must be painfult
Please name the very first two skin prep products that made you face so shinny! I need this!!!!
I also love WA products but agree on the difficult opening of the boxes!!
what brand is the oil?
what do you prefer, the westman complexion stick or the minimalist from merit? i own and love merit's, but i'm thinking of buying westman's when mine is finished.
I use tweezers, poking straight into packaging that is difficult to open. I just bought a few items and hope I can deal with it!
You didnt talk about her serum. Its marvelous
Have you ever thought of demonstrating the products on someone who’s face isn’t covered in hair? Just thinking it would be nice to see a full face done with your skill set.
I really appreciate you, Wayne, and love your thoughtful and informative videos. I completely agree about the packaging problem with opening things when your hands are a little slippery from product – completely frustrating!
I love my Westman Atelier. You just have to pick and choose. Instead of that oil and foundation I chose the complexion drops. It is sheer and lovely. The stick blush is my favorite of their products. I have the contour stick and the highlight stick, both are really nice but I rarely use them. The matte lipstick in the tube is great. Zero of the hard to open compacts.
I too hated the eyepods. Not because of the shine, but the fact that they don’t even last. It moves around the eyelids and you look like a wreck by the 2nd hour
WA a clean brand? The introduction of the refillable super loaded highlight was approx 5 years ago and they still not have a refill in there range.
I like the brush😂
pls get a microphone 🎙️ it’s painful to listen
What brush did you use to buff everything in?
Hello! I would like to know the name of first product you used?
The contour stick is for me the one product that worths for me the money. I also like the blushes and highlights but the contour is for me perfection. The funny part is that I’m not a contour or bronzer person!😂 This one is probably the one I truly love.
I do not think you compared the highlighter stick versus the ultra tinted powder/cream highlighter, What is the difference? Which do you like best?
I’ve been using WA for at least a couple of years now, and I agree with you. The complexion products are just beautiful. The foundation stick is the best I’ve ever used. And you are not exaggerating about the compact and how difficult it is to open. I have nails, so I can usually get it fairly easily. I can’t imagine how someone would get them open without nails. You should review the new lipsticks. They are better than their previous lip products.
Westman claim their products are clean, yet when looking at their ingredient list; THEY ARE NOT.
Over priced, not clean, not great customer service. Too many other brands out there that are affordable & CLEAN.
I thought I don’t need another lip gloss/balm but as I like WA I still tried the squeaky clean and I was surprised how much I liked the formula on my
lips. On my lip carnation the shades are quite different from one another. I got the pipsqeak and the ma puce.
Thank you for calling out how annoyingly difficult opening the compacts can be. If I didn't love the what is inside I would've thrown them in the garbage.
Thank you for this review! I was looking into the brand but was not sure as it is quite pricey
Finally honey, I’ve been waiting for you to review. Only a few opinions I trust ❤
WA is so perfect for the no makeup makeup look. I love watching you . Such a good looking and charming guy ❤
Good for you Wayne! As you know it is imported to thoughtfully choose the battles ( big or small ) we enter and I feel you make a good choice here. Cheers buddy! 🥂
Wayne—I love that we have access to the knowledge you possess here on YouTube—thank you! So helpful. I truly appreciated a more in-depth review from you & agree with your assessment of WA products. Love their complexion sticks….especially as a girly with cool, fair skin tone. I love using their bronzer in Biscuit and more recently, am enjoying their two new blush shades 😊😊 You look great and I hope you feel it as well❣️❣️
3:20 mini versions don’t have magnets. So if you want something to fit in your travel bag and don’t fight with other product – buy minis.
I remember watching your videos for ages and it seems you don’t age, like a cognac only better with age 😊
Thank you for reviewing this brand. I do have several products but they are complexion products. I won't be trying the items that you aren't as enthused about as I think I would feel the same since I have mature skin. You saved me a little money!
Thanks for your review. I’m personally a big fan of their foundation, the best one i ever used. Also the blushes and highlighters are just a dream to use. Yes they are pricy, but for me truly worth it
