I daily my 03 Aquarius blue cabriolet 400 miles a week for work and at 175k all I can complain about is door panels and window regulators.
Original owner here of a 2005 TDI.
You can't kill this thing!
I have a 2008 2.5 S
If you want to turn heads get one with a truck bed body kit lol
That background is my buddies Beetle 😅
Crazy how I am just seeing this now. I'm the owner of the car you used for the thumbnail 😂
they also have a 2.5 inline 5
Bro WTF with the shit talk … bro's are not caucasian you W⚓️ 🤮🤮🤮
Was not the video I sought but I remember this it just was never a Beetle IMHO. just dumb if you ask me. The ONLY way they could have done this would be if it was based on the Porsche Boxter platorm with the beetle top profile and various other touches.. Had it bee THAT? A mid engined Porshe detuned and pricepoint adjusted hardware?…acutally today a price point cayman remodeled to look like the original Beetle could be awesome! But the way it was actually done instead? kinda sucky lameoh imho….fwd beetle seriously?? The mini I feel is also undesrable thankfully the Miata was not treated like these porkers. Hey maybe VW should have partnered with Mazda and used the Miata RX7 platform with a bug body? Still would not be right but it would have been WAY MORE right! IMHO! And instant icon car too! That little rotary could have easily accomodated a bug body! Would have been different but actually BETTER tha the original bug too! Would be a cult car to this day and highly sought after IMHO
lmaoo skyrim music
Didn’t even mention that the RSI was 4wd
Cuddos for your audio performance. Excellent Attitude with your verbal hiccups, just keep talking through, and that’s exactly what you did. To many people spend valuable time editing out all their verbal hiccups, perfection isn’t necessary in a podcast, plus it’s quite annoying to try!!!
🤣🤣👍💯👏👏🇺🇸🙏❣️😆😆😆
I had a 2002 New Beetle for 14 1/2 years, and only got rid of it because of the pricey problems that crept up. The only thing I changed was replacing the steel wheels with VW alloy wheels. It was such a fun and enjoyable car, and the community is wonderful.
It’s a fun car when it’s working, feels like a gokart and feels good when the turbo kicks in. Not a lot of leg room for anyone taller than 5’11. Plastic interiors falls apart (door handles lol iykyk) the A pillar is super annoying and big. Not a lot of working room and vw throws plastic all over the engine so just know you are going to be replacing a lot but lots of euro parts so. Just a cool car and I loved mine even if it left me stranded in a Taco Bell drive thru lol
Excellent and actually fair review of the highs and lows of the new beetle! I'm planning a refurb on one I can find cheaply here in Cleveland and make it go a little faster and hopefully lower.
It is all a matter of how you drive it ,the car itself is a good investment if you plan to use it just as a cool daily ,but if chose tuning them it becomes a peice of trash so it all in how you plan to use it
The 1.8 turbo is easily modified, a k03 to K03s hybrid turbo upgrade and a downpipe would make 220bhp easily!!! And the 1.8t is bulletproof up to 300bhp, AS LONG AS YOU CHANGE THE OIL!!! 😂
I got a vr6 swapped beetle got some vids on it
Had to watch the vw content
stayed for the skyrim music
You didnt mention the upwards to 50mpg the tdi manual option gets with this car, making it great for long distance driving. 👍
USA had base model, Turbo, Tdi, Turbo s and convertible.
Skyrim music in the back go hard
i have a 2.0 i vw beetle 4×4 from 1998 but i live in europe
I have a dark flint convertable
After you buy one just spend about 5.000$ and it might be ok..for a minute
Beetle gang 🙏🏼, got a 2014 beetle thats static like urs
Literally just bought a 2007 1.9 tdi beetle in snot green. Love it!
I have a 99 Beetle 2.0 5speed . 200343 miles on it. After market air intake and i fabricated a cowl injection for the hood to pull cool air, After market muffler just peeks out back bottom left. No electronic mods. After market air dam down front. Coilovers drops it a little for a nice stants. I painted it the early Desert Sand with Blackhood , Top and Trunk lid , rear spoiler for looks and a small top window spoiler I'll call it for air flow. Made Retro rims and put Vw baby Moons on them and White walls. Fast no only down hill lol . But I was never thinking fast I was thinking Gas mileage and at this point I get 62mpg highway and it's cheaper that my big diesel truck. People tell me they usually hate new beetles but love mine lol. I'm a old school guy and have built numerous cars and trucks but this was actually fun to play with.
I bought the auto model turbo, because here and there I drive into town and there's steep streets… auto is the only way to go for that application.
I have a 2010 VW Beatle in the US with the 2.5L 5-cylinder engine. and manual trans of course. I have the best mod of all, I turned it into a truck, lol
man i really wished they would still make the classic but
Sorry dude, my 2009 New Bettle, with the stock 5 cylinder inline engine has over 289,000 miles and still will sh#@ it and get it when you pour the coal to it. I drove as my everyday car from 2010 to 2018, my wife drove for another 4 years. Now my daughter-in-law is driving it until they can find a replacement for a wrecked vehicle. We will get it back, in time. Rugged and tough, like the original Beetle. At least for me and mine.
