D. Gukesh had a dismal start to Norway Chess. He lost 2 classical games – to Magnus Carlsen and Arjun Erigaisi. Meanwhile Hikaru Nakamura started off beautifully with a win over Caruana and also beat Magnus in an Armageddon! It was now time for the World Champion Gukesh and World no.2 Hikaru to meet in round 3. It was also the last day of Gukesh as an 18-year-old as 29th of May was his birthday!
