  1. We are sad to hear of the death of composer Ennio Morricone. We have all been touched by his music, not just that for films, like The Mission and Cinema Paradiso for which he is most celebrated but also by his concert music, like his Voca Dal Silenzio, a cantata written in response to September 11th. Morricone was able to please not just cinema audiences, but “absolute music” enthusiasts too. 
    His writing for whistling and in particular for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly will always have a special place in our hearts.

When Ennio Morricone got the job for A Fistful of Dollars , his budget was extremely limited so he hired Italian street musicians, buskers, including a Whistler, a Jews (Mouth) Harpist, and Electric Guitarist, all to make that unique sound that he expanded it full symphonic expression when The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly rolled around. So if the Maestro heard The Ukulele Orchestra's cover, I'm sure he approved.

  25. Is the bass an electric instrument? I find it a rather fascinating sound, (maybe because at 79, I have lost much of my upper frequency response, hearing aids since 2013) I'd love to learn the bass ukelele, or is it a guitar, I wonder?

  31. Good performers should never give up such successful projects to work on, they are too good to be dumped. Seeking for young artists to carry on the "format" instead should be a very nice idea to work on… having fun together is never enough, wishing you guys good luck and … turn back to entertain us some more 🎉❤🎉
