ASHIMARY HAIR HONEST REVIEW….Good Bad and the Ugly…..

Green Coffee: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly – Exploring Benefits and Side Effects! | Vihado

20 thoughts on “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Honest Review of Merit Beauty

  1. OMG Dana!!! Thank you sooo much. I, too, have tried everything to make the complection stick work and , yes, it makes my normally unnoticeable pores jump out and slap you. Like you, I'm mystified by the countless fans.

  2. It’s definitely different for everyone. I love my merit complexion stick, and it doesn’t pill like that at all. So strange. I wear it with sunscreen too. I agree that it did not work for you.

  3. Late to this review. I love the serum, I agree the pump is not good. I am on my third bottle and all of them have done the same thing. The complexion stick in my opinion is wonderful. Every time I wear it I get compliments on my skin. It looks great as the day progresses. I have larger pores as I have aged, but this product doesn't emphasis my pores. I hate that when you open the cap the stick flies out. Why can't they get that right? I have a problem with the blush. I have tried it multiple times and it just doesn't have staying power. I gave it to my daughter in law. The eyeshadows are great. I am going to try the mascara. My favorite mascara is the one by Chantecaille. That one is amazing!

  4. I just bought 3 products for the first time from them seeing all the noise around it and it is so poor quality, not staying on just disappointing

  5. That only happens to me if I use too much product. I use just a bit and use their brush in circular motions . I also have oily skin. I love merit but know that it’s not for everyone 😊

  6. I really wanted to love Merit. The complexion stick was awful. I threw it away. The blush and brush was just okay. Mascara is good but not blown away by it. Lipstick is good. I stopped there because nothing was really exciting me. Bummer because the colors are great. Formulation is mostly average. Definitely not worth the price.

  7. Can you review the Sisley concealer? I hated it when I first bought it, but it really does crease the least of all concealers I've tried (about 20). But, the older I get the more I feel concealer actually makes me look older.

  8. I agree, I’ve tried to make the complexion stick work on my oily skin and it brings out dry patches that I didn’t even know I had! I did give the new matte lipsticks a try this week and it’s a great formula.

  9. Their eyeshadows and lipsticks (matte and satin) are holy grail for me. I’ve never found better in my 10 years of testing products. I wholeheartedly agree about the complexion stick – I’ve had 4 and I keep trying to force them to work. I’m 24 and never had issues with my pores before but they looked SO HUGE with the complexion stick. For as dry as it is, it doesn’t last on my skin for more than 2 hours. I like the NYX stick concealer better and it has more color options (the Merit stick is too dark for me in both of the lightest shades). I love their blush colors but they are so greasy and don’t last on the skin. Before I leave my house in the AM it seems like they’re gone already!

  10. I have found that the only way the Merit complexion stick works for me is not over ANY sunscreen and using my fingers to blend, so certainly not an ideal product. The only product I love from Merit is the cream blush. I'd like to try the mascara someday. Thanks for this review!

  11. The squirt of the Merit serum annoyed me enough that I've basically stopped using it…I put on my makeup after I get dressed and I don't need an oil stain on my work clothes! I also have had the same experiences with the complexion stick, looks terrible to okay at best so I'm just trying to use it up….I wish I'd seen your reviews first, because other youtubers seem to love everything and have no criticisms!

  12. Love and appreciate your honesty. ❤Everyone online raved about the serum so I kept testing it in store. I never understood the hype. I agree with your thoughts across the board.
