The Good Bad & Ugly! 6 months review of my Lennar home

6 months ago I made a video of moving into our new construction by our builder, Lennar, and today I’m sharing with you the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of my experience so far. I tried to make this as short as possible but I could have gone on much longer, lol. Overall I am happy with my purchase but it hasn’t been a great post sales customer experience. I love learning from others on this platform and I hope that my experience will be helpful to your journey.

I’m a homeowner, real estate investor, and realtor in the San Diego area and if you have any questions, feel free to comment below or follow me on Instagram @fungineerviolet

This video is on my playlist with some of my other videos about real estate investing. Good-luck and happy home hunting in this insane market!

  1. BUYER BEWARE OF LENNAR. DO NOT GIVE YOUR EARNEST MONEY SO FAST EVEN THOUGH THEY TELL YOU HAVE TO HURRY , DO IT NOW, THEY KEEP THIS MONEY NO MATTER HOW FAST YOU BACK OUT .. THESE HOUSE ARE CHEAP. THIS COMPANY WONT EVEN GIVE ANY APPLIANCES LIKE A GARAGE OPENER OR EVEN BLINDS.
I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW MANY TIMES THEY'VE MADE MONEY OFF PEOPLE THEY PRESSURE TO HURRY UP .. SAY NO WHEN THEY ASK FOR THIS. BELIEVE ME THESE CHEAP HOUSES ARE NOT SELLING FAST.
I WAS A FIRST TIME HOME BUYER. THEY RIPP PEOPLE OFF. EVEN THE EXPERIENCE.

  2. Im sitting in front of our new Next Gen in AZ, waiting on our 3rd party inspection. After our formal walk through, we knew they were just push us to the warranty department. Its amazing how their attitudes suddenly changed when we demand to renegotiate the terms to having a 3rd party inspector. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE DEALING WITH LENNAR GET A LEGIT 3RD PARTY INSPECTOR!!!!

  3. I'm very familiar with that area as I used to live and own a home in Crown Point. You didn't expand on not having a parcel number. Don't you have to have a parcel number when it comes to paying your property taxes? The prices in Crown Point area really skyrocketed when covid hit and the interest rates went as low as 2.7%. Land is very expensive there. Very nice area and schools are close. Your house is a good investment overall because location, location, location. Hope you enjoy walking and riding a bike along Mission Bay.

  4. Unless things have changed a buyer cannot sue the builder. An arbritration process is what protects the builder. That was about 25 yrs ago. That document is one of many that requires a signature before the building process starts.

  5. My parents home has a kitchen, living room, family room, dinning room, basement and a loft. My overpriced lennar has a kitchen living room mash up. No basement , loft or dinning room. Oh and the garage can't fit a Ford f150. Poor home design here in Colorado
