Just to let you know these opinions are 100% my own and not influenced in anyway. I purchased these extensions with my own money. I hope you find this review helpful!

Luxy posts a lot of comments that their extensions are 100% remy human hair. I got my extensions a few months ago and they're mid grade quality with quite a bit of synthetic filler. When you look at the hair in sunlight the synthetic strands are so shiny and fake looking you know right away they product isn't 100% real hair. After washing and then treating with conditioner the product becomes a frizzy mess. Constantly tangles, literally have to brush them out hourly for them to not look like a mess.
I bought my luxys in 2015 and they shed A LOT.
Omg they should’ve sent you a free set because this extensions are affordable but expensive either way because that’s your hard earned money 💴
I love Luxy hair extensions I order my second packages now , I still have my old and there in good shape , considering I have for 2 year now ;also customer service are the best , o forget to put my code to get 10 off and someone help to get my $10 back ASAP and I really like the quality respond
Thank you for your honest review!
Thank you for sharing this informative and honest review, Jessica. Luxy Hair extensions are and always have been made with 100% remy human hair, with a silicone coating applied to the hair at our manufacturer for that extra gloss and shine. We have switched manufacturers a few times since 2012, however, to address concerns of shedding and to ensure that our wefts are secure and sturdy. We stand behind the high quality of our extensions, and urge you to check out our Factory page, (http://www.bit.ly/luxyfactory) where you can see exactly how Luxies are made and where. In fact, we are so confident in our product, that we would love for you to give Luxy Hair another try. Kindly reach out to us at info@luxyhair.com and we'll be happy to give you a special discount code to go toward our new and improved extensions. xo
I accidently ordered the wrong length of extensions, sent them back to ZALA on a monday and had my new set by Friday!! Absolutely stoked :)))
I like how much better the Extensions are now! I get some about a year ago… and every time I had them in I got complimented on how healthy and long my hair looked😊!
or the hair is a synthetic blend and that's what was melting onto your flat iron. I'm a cosmetologist I can only assume they were just trying to cover themselves since they are claiming they are one hundred percent human hair
By the looks of it, when you applied your flatiron to the hair, it looks like synthetic hair. These extensions look very cheaply made 😳 and they blend human hair with synthetic hair. Thanks for the honest review. I was going to purchase these extensions but I was hesitant because of the price and the models hair on their website. They look stiff and cheap. I definitely will not be purchasing these, thank goodness
😳😳😳
luxy must have upgraded their hair extensions since this video was posted cause I don't have any problems with my set, the only thing she said that was true is when u first straighten your hair it does smell burnt but it goes away.
Do you live in Australia?
Damn. Try GetMe Stranded extensions – they don't shed and are Russian hair – which has a different texture to asian/indian hair which is what I've found most other brands are. Good luck ya'll!
Great review
what extensions are you using now??
thank you for this review! have you tried "BELLAMI" hair extensions?
I love this review. Did you ever try irresistibleme hair extensions? I am trying to debate between those and the luxy once. After your video i feel like i dont want to get the luxy once anymore. But i have also heard bad reviews about the irrestibleme once so now i am confused:(
I ordered my luxies last year and I feel like they fixed many of these problems. Mine barely shed, they do a little when I wash them, also the part where the clip is looks a lot better! I did however experience the water turning brown when I washed them
As a hairstylist I highly doubt that you "ruined" your flat iron just because of some build up…
she says "out" and "about" so funny LMFAO
What are your favorite extensions?
just posted a review on the luxe hair extensions!
Thank you for this review! This is exactly the type of review I'm always looking for on YouTube. Completely detail-oriented, specific, and organized. I would love to see more reviews like this. Bravo!
THIS HAIR IS GOOD TO USE FROM TIME TO TIME.BUT IF YOU HAVE A SHORT HAIR AND WANT TO USE FOR LONG TIME FORGET .BECAUSE THE CLIP BROKEN FAST ,THE HAIR WRAP A LOT ,ETC my opinion BUT BUY AND TRY .
Very nice video review. I've had one pair of 160 gram, dirty blonde Luxy Hair extentions for 4 years now. I wear them probably 20 days out of a month on average, and rarely all the clips. I've had no issues with shedding, and I am a bit of a nut about shedding hair. I can feel just one lose hair on my shoulder if it's there. LOL I do remember the smell when using a curling iron when I first got them. I rarely use heat. I wrap them around sponge rollers if I think I'll want them curled. Since I don't wear all the pieces, I keep half rolled and half straight. I also, have only washed them a handful of times…maybe 4 times. They still look great, and I've never regretted purchasing them. I will look into the Luxury for Princess brand since you think so highly of it. I'd like to get a different color to have an ombre effect.
why not just grow your own hair???
I've had my luxy clip ins for about a month and a half. I wear them probably two or three times a week. They are soo soo dry! I have to keep brushing it all day long because it all matts together. Im taking good care of them too! IDK. I wish i could go back and buy another brand. I dont mind spending the money for quality but I am so dissapointed 🙁
I purchased mine in 2014 and none of these occured to me. I use them a lot and they are still nice, shiny and thick. 🙂 They may have improved a lot since the time you bought yours. 🙂
Top secret hair extensions are the best!
So I read your review and still ordered luxy hair extensions. It seemed to me like most of your negative experience could be avoided, by simply washing the extensions before styling them for the first time. I ordered the 160 gram in Chocolate brown. I haven't had any issues with shedding. I hold the top of the extension near the clip when I brush it. I just brushed the whole set and lost 6 hairs. They are easy to use and comfortable. I can wear them to the gym and not worry about them falling out. I have nothing bad to say about them.
Im sooo glad, I saw your video I was planning on buying a set Now I need to look for another brand 🙁
When I see hair like that shedding, I see it as a shotty job. Sorry you went through that.
Jessica Melody I must say the ugly part of your review has made me think twice about ordering these…. the shedding problem is huge…. thanks for your honesty
Ivebeen told to get bellami, luxy. But seeing all these comments about them whAt hair extensions are good and thick to buy now days??
Thank u for your video. I have been watching the sisters at Luxy for awhile now and I want extensions now. after watching your video not sure about theirs though. It has been two years and I am wondering if they made improvements. What other brands do you recommend?
Hey loved how informative and real your review was thank you! I'm looking for a new set of extensions and I been looking at reviews but can't seem to find any good ones! Lol I was wondering if you had any advice or any suggestions hoping I can count on you to be honest since I feel like you are the only one that wouldn't lie because most beauty gurus do! Thank you in advance😊😊😊
Thank you Jessica. Very informative.
I could not tell you had extensions at first O_O
Question would you buy these extensions again.? If not what extension brand would you recommend. had bad luck with buying extensions online but I'm not happy with the ones I've gotten at sallys either because there not very thick. I know this video is from 2012 which is almost 3 years ago.
WOW.WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT QUALITY
