Good Bad Ugly is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by Adhik Ravichandran and marks the debut of Maithri Movie Makers in Tamil cinema. The film stars Ajith Kumar in the lead role, alongside Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Tinnu Anand and Raghu Ram in supporting roles. The story revolves around a retired gangster who returns to his violent ways when his son is wrongly arrested.
The film is presented by T-Series. It was first announced in late 2023 under the working title “AK63”, as it marks Ajith Kumar’s 63rd film in the lead role. The official title was announced in March 2024. The principal shooting of the film began in May 2024 in Hyderabad, with portions shot in Spain. The shooting wrapped up in early December.
The film’s music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography is by Abhinandan Ramanujam and editing is done by Vijay Velukutty.
Good Bad Ugly was released worldwide on 10 April 2025 in Standard and EpiQ formats. The film received mixed reviews from critics. Reviewers commented that the film struggles to balance paying homage to Ajith Kumar’s previous films and telling a new story.
