CZ P10c optics ready review: first shots – the good, bad, and ugly.

The CZ P10C has been around for a few years and has always been a good pistol, although in its original form it was too large to be optimal for concealed carry. CZ discontinued the original SKU and released their new model with a shorter grip, one that can honestly be called “compact”.

As of July 1st through September 30th CZ USA is offering a $50 rebate on the P07, P09, and P10 models. This will cover the cost of the optic plate adapter that you’ll need.

The grip texture is fairly sharp and will tear up your shirt, but it’s an easy fix with a little bit of grip tape which keeps it controllable and is cheap.

  1. Got mine from PSA for $364. Slide stop was never an issue and the trigger is still getting better. (Only have 200+/- thru it).
Little dummy round and a HARD CASE (unlike some manufacturers 😡) were nice touches.

  2. I need help, new to optic ready handguns. Not sure what SKU your reviewing in this video, but im looking at 91588 CZ-P10 C optics ready with RMR and cowitness sites. Comes with an empty optic mount plate. Well, i am trying to find out what optic (Brand(s) can be used without having to purchase specific plates? Do all these with optics ready come with the same blank plate? Help please

  3. Very nice review! I have the serrated black rear sights, optics ready for $525. I thought (still do) that I was getting a good deal. I agree about the slide stop/release. Maybe it'll loosen a bit with more rounds down range. Thank you.

  4. I just bought a non-optics CZ P-10C at Sportsman's Warehouse. It was $499. and I sent in the rebate- now waiting.. in the mean time I'm 'fixing' it up to suit my preferences. All of what you say, is true. I, however, DO find the grip- especially the front part of the grip texture to be far too aggressive. I have a pair of pliers with the same 'nubby' texture, and I never use them, because I do not like the way that feels in my hand. I took it to the range a couple of weeks ago, and the front part of the grip created a near blister on my left hand- I'm a lefty shooter. I put a Talon rubberized grip texture on it, and now, it feels perfect to me. Plenty of texture and purchase. The other issue I wanted to address, is the stiff ambi controls. I reversed the mag release, and bought an Apex extended slide catch/ release and installed it. It's 80 bucks, and worth every penny. Works much better. I carry a Walther PDP compact, and that gun has very lefty friendly, easy to operate paddles that function quite well. Now, the P-10C feels as good as my Walther.
I put about a hundred rounds through it, and took it home and cleaned it and did the mods. I am going to return to the range and evaluate the pistol further. I really do like the gun.
    I enjoyed your review!
