  1. Ok, I have to put my 2 cents in here. Been working on Fiberglass for a long time. There is VERY little difference in that aspect of a Nitro than in a Vexxus or Ikon. There is however, a big difference in the quality of the seats, most components like latches etc. Nitro boats fish very well. They do not sound as solid over heavy chop or big rollers. Not hollow but not like a 2010 Ranger either. I had a small void in the glass around the left rear of the boat close to the transom. It was fixed under warranty. IF you can’t afford a higher end boat, Nitro makes a viable option. The real issue with a Nitro boat is not even with the boat. It’s the trailer! Absolute hot garbage. Knowing what a I know now, I would rate the boat a B- and trailer an F. If you can’t afford to wait a bit longer and save a bit more, look into Falcon. Easily the bang for the buck I’ve seen. They are fast, fish very well, and feel extremely solid in every aspect. They are other boats that match their feel and aesthetics (maybe slightly exceed) but at what cost? I was convinced my next boat would be a Phoenix or Bass Cat but after spending a lot of time in my buddy’s Falcon I’ll definitely go that way in the future. You can easily find 20’ WELL equipped boats with a 250 SHO for around $70. Nitro is not the absolute garbage that some think. Hell maybe they are and I just haven’t experienced it. For $55 or so you can get a well equipped z19 or Z20 for 65K. Just beware of the trailers

  2. People argue about car brands but not an expert at driving. People argue about boats but not an expert at fishing. Just injoy what you can afford and treat it to the best of your ability. Every that's built can break, even two of the same products built at the same place well break differently.

  3. I know this video is 2 years old. But I have a 2016 Nitro Z20. I fish 2 and 3 days a week every week. Since it is April 2024, I have over 12000 on the water hours on mine. I still have the original carpet. I haven't had any issues with the hull. I have replaced the seats with Deckmate brand last year. I get 65 mph loaded and stability is great, wide deck etc. I have replaced trailer bunks with treated wood and bearings in couple of times. But considering how many they sell, you're going to get a bad apple every once in a while but Nitro will stand behind their products. I definitely can't complain considering the number of asses that have sat in it and the number of days on the water in 8 years. Would I buy another? Sure and I'll stick 30k in my pocket over all the other over rated and over priced boats.

  4. All of these boats are massively over priced for what you are getting. I bought my Nitro a used 1992 in 1996 for 5k. It looked brand new. Everything started to fall apart around 2019. Motor, carpet, seats, and trailer all started falling apart at the same time. I put new bearings and cut the rust out of the trailer. In the furtue I will use fluid film every year on my trailer frame. In my 92 evinrudes 27 years I had to replace a regulator rectifier that was it. The seats the wood rotted out. The carpet I think held pretty good at over 25 years. Now my boat was garage kept its whole life. I am going to be getting a new Nitro soon. My only dilemma is if I want a Z or a ZV.

  5. You forgot to mention that they're the only boat still made out of wood and there all going to a thin gel coat that looks like there sprayed with a paint gun rangers are done the same way and triton

  6. Wow bad review guys no nitros 2015 and up are cracking at all. My 2016 z8 not a crack not one used 5 days a week along with the other 25 in pur club. Secondly ranger and nitro is not the same at all just because they are owned by rhe same people doesnt mean the products are the same. The ranger hulls are completely different layouts are different build qualities are different they own triton too are you saying there the same too? Please dont mix your emotions with facts man i love your channel but this was a very biased review and my z8 pro xs 250 will run 73 to 75 on gps regularly she is very slippery and you can find hundreds of z20s and z8s going 75mph on you tube.

  7. "separation of hull and cap." Oh like my Skeeter that had to be completely reseated because only 1/3 of the screws were actually set? The other 2/3 were just pushing against the hull and it was barely sealed. Took it in because I was taking on a lot of water inexplicably and turns out it was coming in under the rub rail because the cap wasn't secured properly🤣

  8. Worst boat bought a 2019 Z20 from bass pro Harrisburg pa had so many issues with it they did an soc and gave me a 2020 Z21 this has had more issues than the original boat master control panel has been replaced 4 times livewell pumps 2 times carpet has been repaired 3 times 2 seats have been re upholstered glove box has been replaced the trailer axles ( both) have been replaced had to have aluminum bearing caps made do too the plastic ones constantly breaking had the brake caliber bolts fall out for no apparent reason then the rear axle bearing blew out on the new axles and bearings that were just installed only 8000 miles on the axles and bearings i bought the platinum warranty and had to contact the corporate office to get help with getting things fixed in both boats

I tried to trade this boat in with 26 hours at several dealers on a new skeeter they only offered me 26 to 29 grand

  9. Chiming in again on Ranger RT 178 c rigged with a 60 horsepower 4-stroke boats dangerous won't even pull its own ass out of its own way. Dixie Marine in Fairfield Ohio screwed me hardcore they are now offering to buy the boat back
