i wanna make something clear…although theres alot wrong with the white C4 i purchased ive been daily driving it for months now WITHOUT any mechanical or transmission issues…yea its rough around the edges…but still gets more looks than most cars on the road today. and has not left me stranded. and most importantly its an absolute blast to drive.
The C4 were constructed before Americans got so fat and sloppy as this guy. That's why slimmer people have no problems at all to get in and out of a C4.

I see a lot of C4 Vettes that people just let them rot away. They should be ashamed of themselves.
What I like about the C4 is that they can be serviced in your own garage. Fuel pump is easily accessed for example. C5, whew, probably need to drop the rear subframe, same for the clutch.

i got mine for 1.2k no dirty interior no cracked broken dash and no vatts system problem with both pop ups being flush with the hood and no weather stripping flaking in 2024 am i beyond blessed
That Corvette is not mint by any stretch. For mint…you will pay $17k-$25k. Daily quality drivers are in the $10k-$13k range. I see 1993 Corvettes with less than 25000 miles going for $20k all day long.

I would have taken $2000 and went to the casino, bet it on black, and if I lost, I wouldn't have had to drive around in the worlds shittiest C4. If I won, I'd go spend 2x as much on a better C4. This piece of shit belongs in the junk yard. Costs more than it's worth to fix it. Don't get me wrong, I love C4's, but man you got ripped off. That thing ain't worth $500.

Out of all the reviews I have seen this is the worst. Every review i have seen has mentioned everything you mentioned but are also preventable. If you hop in a car and the steering wheel is falling off you should know what your getting into.

Hater!!!! I love my $6200 1990 c4 . No major problems just the top and a little electrical issue with the cooling system, BUT I am curious about the vat thing waiting to leave me high and dry. How do I omit the security control??? Great video. 👍
Mine's not mint,but my 89 is in really good shape. 59k original miles, paid about 11,500 for it. Worth every penny. Not a daily driver tho, she's my day off toy.

C4 was always my least favorite gen. I thought the styling was just too bland, especially compared to the crazy swoops and curves of the C3. Gotta admit though, that the C4 has grown on me. What I used to consider bland, now seems, idk, "elgegant," "refined," "tasteful," "purposeful." Can't find the right word, but it's something like that.

I feel like this isn't that accurate – it makes it seem that the white car is typical: it isn't. It's shit. There's plenty of nice, low mileage C4s around because they made about 400,000 of the effers. My 91 C4 is in great condition, looks fantastic, goes and corners hard and is all the car I ever want or need. I'd recommend them to anybody who wants a serious sports car that tons of fun to drive.
Working at subway means you don't buy a corvette. The red one is drivable the white one is for parts.
