This might be the best looking Hyundai currently available. Prove. Me. Wrong.

I got behind the wheel of the new 2019 Hyundai Veloster Turbo Ultimate and given it the Shifting Lanes’ Good, Bad, and Ugly analysis. I was highly impressed by this little hot hatch, but there are still some little annoying things that make this thing imperfect. Perhaps it’s Hyundai’s strange attempt at paving the way for the true Hot Hatch Behemoth, the Veloster N.

Hey what's happening hopefully it's come with a six speed manual transmission instead 😮😢
I'm still enjoying my 2019 R-spec
I have the turbo tech (I’m Canadian). Looks the same as the same as your ultimate. I didn’t know active exhaust meant it had sounds pumped through the radio. I thought it had a valve to let more exhaust flow out.
Also the interior colour may also be indicative of the exterior colour. For example mine is the blue exterior with the black and red interior. The off set trim is a darker carbon fibre that matches in with the rest rather well.
Great little car. my 2019's going strong 50k miles in with regular maintenance (hopefully stays that way). And if you tune and slap some new tires on, it drives much better.
I’ll add to this by saying. I finally understand why Hyundai is hated.
All Gen 2 veloster owners will or have had ball joint issues, will or have had vvt solenoid issues. Will or have had trouble working on them because not many people work on them or even have them to begin with. Never again will I buy another Hyundai
How can you say this is such a great car, when you get stuck in traffic there is a chance you might have to call a tow-truck? 😂

Fantastic review
for 1 sec I thought you were Sofyan
Hi guys can anyone tell me where is back up reverse camera in veloster 2019 base because i buy veloster but still in shipping and im take some information about camera position i can't see it in my car pictures thanks for help
I bought a 2020 Turbo DCT. I would have prefered a manual, but they didn't have any in my area and I needed to buy pretty quickly, since my 2004 Mini Cooper S died. I have to admit that I am warming up to the DCT and to answer the question in the video, I'm finding that I actually prefer using the shifter to shift (forward to upshift, backward to downshift), as opposed to using the paddle shifters. This feels the most like shifting a manual.
Great review!
Great looking car and great review, thxs
So. I'll admit, I'm a ludite when it comes to cars. If I understood what you were saying about the gears is that even if you have the automatic trans, inching up in traffic is bad for this car?
I enjoy your channel all the time!
Thank you!
Can you please review veloster N?
I will really appreciate that!!!:)

I have very mixed feelings about this car. Its not a bad car, however why they make this car baffles me. They have the I30 (Elantra GT for the USA), if they just put the Veloster nose and wheels on it its equipped almost the same, and you get 4 doors and not three for the same price. Add the N package to the I30/Elantra GT (with Veloster Nose and wheels) and it would be the perfect combo. I recently bought a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport with a Manual and love it. I test drove the auto (Dual Clutch) and its not a bad transmission but I just prefer a manual. Ultimately price won out and I got mine on sale for $19K (USA) before taxes/fees. Its funny how when I bought my car though I said wish it had a detuned 2.0T as I think it would have gotten better MPG closer to the Honda Civic SI (which was my other choice car). Man though if I could get the 275HP N engine in a 2018 bodied Elantra Sport. Gives me goose bumps. I hate, the new 2019 Elantra body. It looks way to close to a Sonata.Ultimately price won out and I got mine on sale for $19K (USA) before taxes/fees.
its uggggggly
C but I don't have any experience with paddles, only tiptronic which was very lackluster
Just give me a manual transmission with a shifter and a clutch, please!
I'm slowly falling in love with this little car, my coworker picked up a Veloster, and I find myself wanting one more and more.
I currently drive a 2005 Volvo S80, and I'm working on getting it tuned and ready to go.
My only complaints for this car is that the steering wheel and the infotainment screen look outdated. It looks like they took a $50 child’s tablet and stuck it on the dash. For the price and performance I would probably overlook those.
Might upgrade my '07 Camry V6 to the new Veloster N. I really like how the velosters look. Also pro drivers can't shift faster than a dual cluth btw. Haha
I've been looking at buying a salvage Veloster from Copart, I think I'm going to hold off until the N spec one comes out. There's just something really compelling about this car I've always loved the way they looked since they came out, and the new model looks even better. Throwing up to 275 horses and this sounds like quite the fun little commuter car to get me back and forth to work.
